Write for us
Grand Fashion Journal welcomes thoughtful pitches about the construction, history, materials and meaning of clothes. Bring us a clear question, a distinctive angle and a reason the subject will interest a curious reader.
What we welcome
We are interested in accessible, well-scoped ideas about garment details, textile choices, dress codes, fashion history and personal style. Strong proposals explain a subject without assuming specialist knowledge and leave room for nuance rather than treating taste as a universal rule.
A useful pitch
Tell us the working subject, the central idea, the intended reader and what makes the piece distinct from familiar fashion advice. Mention the kind of sources or material that could support it. A concise, specific proposal is more helpful than a broad list of possible topics.
Send a proposal
Use the Contact page and choose the editorial question option to send your pitch. Please include a way for us to reply. A proposal is not a promise of publication, and we will consider ideas for fit, clarity and care.
Clothing is made to be read.
A cuff, a fabric choice or a familiar dress code can tell us how clothes work and what they mean. We look closely without pretending there is only one way to wear them.
